The aim of the Association for Educational Ventures, or EdVentures for short, is to train and support students, educators, and professionals involved in educational activities, as well as to promote intercultural and cross-border education in Europe and beyond, with a particular focus on the United States.

EdVentures was founded with the above aim in 2024 with 11 members in Szeged, Hungary.
Let’s see how our story started!
“I had been considering founding my own association for years, but in 2024 I felt the time was right to start chasing my dreams and create an organisation that not only involves civil members dear to my heart but also actively pursues our jointly set passion. Previous experiences with associations, international connections and friendships, as well as our common goal of internationalization, all led to the establishment of EdVentures. Besides EdVentures, I work as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at the University of Szeged. In 2022, I was a Fulbright research fellow at San Jose State University in California, right in the heart of Silicon Valley. My research topic – not surprisingly – is internationalization and international students. As a researcher, I have already worked on student satisfaction and loyalty, international student mobility, cultural and social integration of international students, and my latest interest is related to university brand pride. I see the founding of EdVentures as the culmination of my previous experiences, enabling me to help others experience internationalization as well.” – Anita
